In the support worker role you will hold strong values relating to respect for people's personal rights to choice making, dignity and independence.  

 

You will be supporting people, in their own home or shared home, who have a learning disability with additional complex health and behavioural needs.

Successful candidates will be able to communicate their commitment to supporting people with a learning disability to experience ‘the good things in life’, such as enjoying a range of everyday leisure and recreational activities and having the opportunity to learn new skills and to experience personal success.  

​

People require person-centred support to meet their health needs, manage their finances, maintain their tenancy and carry out domestic duties. Your role will include developing excellent rapport with the people you support.  You will also be able to effectively communicate with colleagues,  professionals and family members  to play your part in delivering an excellent level of support.

​

You will be required to work on a flexible 24/7 rota basis. A clean driving licence is desirable and a good mileage rate is paid where staff are required to use their car as agreed with individual services.

• Full-time (39 hour week) annual salary from £23,200 - £24,187 based on experience and qualifications.
